Lalea are an infected whale species that originated from the waters of the Gemini Isles, and now thrive in the tropical coasts of Elyxium. Recognized for their distinct gem heads, they determine hierarchies in their pods by fighting with their gems which create the natural facetted appearance they are known for. 

After countless fights, the successful leader of a pod can develop horns carved from their gem faces that give them an advantage in battle. This accelerated growth appears to only develop in mature male Lalea that have led their pod for more than 3 years.
